To spark debate around data privacy while positioning The Telegraph at the center of technology intelligence, a speculative design fiction was conceptualized. The theme—smart gadgets—led to speculation about their implications on intimate data.
Gadgets are close to us and constantly collect data that often goes unnoticed. As human beings, we can lie and escape the truth but data is impartial. Data doesn't lie. With posters and out of home assets, featuring the sign-off "Data doesn't lie", we will make people realise that the data collected from smart devices can have positive and negative repurcussion, but it never lies. These posters will raise questions about who owns this data and what could happen if this private information were accessible to others.
